Breakfast Pizza??

has anyone every had breakfast pizza? (and i don't mean pizza for breakfast) i heard if it about 2 years ago when i moved up to this area. evidently it is big in the Twin Tiers area (Northern tier of northeastern PA and Southern Tier of upstate NY) I had it for my fist time this morning. my department asked me to stop by a shop that is on my way in and pick one up. it is a Sicilain style pizza dough with scrambled eggs and American cheese with you choice of toppings (breakfast foods such as ham, sausage, green peppers, etc). good stuff.Breakfast Pizza??
I love that breakfast pizza! It was everywhere in Iowa. Even the convenience store. Nothing like picking up a hot slice of breakfast pizza. My favorite topping was the sausage one.

Yes, I've had breakfast pizzas. Even though I am not a huge fan of eggs, I like these pizzas. With lots of cheese and sausage.
ci ci's pizza makes it
I have even made it. I prefer a thin crust, and I use different toppings. It is quick and simple and you have to love it because it is pizza!

1 can refrigerated pizza crust -- (l0-oz)

8 eggs

1/4 cup half-and-half OR milk

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 package chive

veggie or regular cream cheese

8 slices crisply cooked bacon

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Grease a 12-inch pizza pan. Unroll dough; place

in greased pan. Starting at center, press out dough with hands. Bake for

6 to 7 minutes or until crust begins to brown.

Meanwhile, in medium bowl, combine eggs, half-and-half, salt and pepper,

beat well. In large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add egg

mixture; cook and stir until thoroughly cooked but still moist. Remove

from heat.

Spoon cooked egg mixture over partially baked crust. Drop cream cheese by

teaspoonfuls over eggs. Arrange bacon in spoke fashion on top of pizza.

Bake for an additional 8 to 12 minutes or until toppings are thoroughly

heated and crust is deep golden brown.
It has no sauce, so it is just an open faced sandwhich!
I ran a store that sold pizzas and the breakfast pizza was a top seller. It consisted of pizza dough, scrambled eggs with seasoning, three cheeses, hashbrowns, and any number of toppings - sausage, bacon, ham, onions, peppers, etc. Very good!
Make it yourself. It is very easy.

What a delicious way to start your day! This is a great late-morning weekend breakfast. A slice of this pizza around 10:00 or 11:00 with a glass of juice will definitely keep you held over until dinner. Another option is to make 8 smaller pizzas and serve as a side-dish with pancakes or waffles.

Prep time: 5-10 minutes

Baking time: 13-15 minutes

Ingredients:

* 1 tube Pillsbury crescent rolls

* 1 cup cheddar cheese or mozzarella or a combo of both

* 1 cup Eggbeaters

* 1 cup frozen hash browns

* salt and pepper to taste

Optional:

* Veggies of your choice (peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, etc.)

* Bacon, Ham Pork roll

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400潞.

Unroll the crescent rolls on a large baking sheet (no need to grease). Roll or press flat. Separate the dough (8 triangles) into 4 rectangles. Pinch each set of 2 triangles together to form a rectangle. Pinch edges up to form crust. You will end up with four little rectangular crusts.

Cover each pizza with 1/4 cup hashbrowns. (At this stage you would also add any additional ingredients, such as veggies or bacon.) Next, pour 1/4 cup Eggbeaters carefully over each pizza. Then, cover each pizza with 1/4 cup cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Bake at 400 degrees for 13-15 minutes.

Yields: 4 breakfast pizzas (6.5 points each)

Another option is to make 8 smaller pizzas (3 points each) and serve as a side-dish with pancakes or waffles. You can either separate the dough into 8 small rectangles, or else press the dough into 1 large circle, prepare like a normal pizza, and then cut into 8 slices.

You will be a hero. Good luck and good eating.

But if you don't want to do it any pizza shop should be able to custom one for you. They have to be open early .
